Important Notes:
1. Application must be made online via the Kansas Department of Revenue. The application is easy with a number of “drop-down” options to make the process simple.
2. Each student must be applied for individually. That is, if you have two students, apply for both students individually.
3. The approval or disapproval will be made by the DOE. They will notify the foundation electronically, and the foundation will make the announcement to the family.
4. The amount depends on the number of approved applications and the amount of funds available. The check will be made out to the parents and St. Paul Lutheran School.
5. Once the student is approved, you can apply the next year- but you must reapply. It is not automatic.
Important Bonus:
Another scholarship is available for your student. It is supplied by the Kansas District of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS). On the drop-down asking you to select a Scholarship Granting Organization, select St. Paul Lutheran School Foundation. The next line will ask if you want to select to add a second SGO. Click to confirm yes, and select the Kansas Lutheran Schools Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (KLSSF) as your second option. You only have to submit one application to apply for two scholarships (per student.) At this time, we don’t know how you will be notified by the Kansas District LCMS.
